TTM Squeeze
Volatility is cyclical. These are today's coils — and the three scans worth running them through.
A coin is in a squeeze when its Bollinger Bands have contracted inside the Keltner Channels and are still narrowing. Energy builds during the quiet; the trade is the release, not the coil.
The squeeze does not tell you which way it resolves — which is why none of the lists below is a bare squeeze scan. Each one stacks a trend or demand condition on top, and caps Bollinger Band width at 15% where a tight coil is the point.
Full guide: what it is, entries, stops and when it failsTTM Squeeze in a confirmed uptrend, BB Gap < 15%
0 of 0Open in ScreenerThe strictest list: a coil inside a trend every horizon agrees on — the fast EMAs, the 50, and the 50 against the 200.
| RS W/M/3M/6M | 50 EMA ↑ | Patterns |

Nothing matches this scan today. Squeezes are supposed to be rare — an empty list is a real answer.
TTM Squeeze with Rising 50 EMA, BB Gap < 15%
0 of 0Open in ScreenerThe classic scan — quiet coins coiling while the 50 EMA is still pointing up.
| RS W/M/3M/6M | 50 EMA ↑ | Patterns |

Nothing matches this scan today. Squeezes are supposed to be rare — an empty list is a real answer.
TTM Squeeze in a Fresh Bull zone
0 of 0Open in ScreenerA coil forming right where institutional volume last showed up — compression on top of a known demand shelf.

What the data says
19,670 squeeze events, 659 coins, Nov 2023 – Aug 2026. Figures are median 20-day return against the median coin the same day — the alt market fell through most of this window, so raw returns measure the market, not the setup.
The band-width cap is doing nearly all the work
| BB Gap cap | Events / month | Excess 20d | Win rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| under 10% | 12 | +4.53% | 44.7% |
| under 15%← these lists | 31 | +2.74% | 45.2% |
| under 20% | 59 | +1.84% | 43.4% |
| under 25% | 90 | +1.13% | 41.2% |
| no cap | 172 | +0.05% | 37.3% |
Note the last row: without a width cap the squeeze has no edge. The tightness is the signal. 15% is a trade between edge and list length — the median crypto squeeze fires at 22.6%, so it discards four coils in five.
Which trend filters earn their place
Width cap alone +1.39% → Rising 50 EMA +2.74% → Green trend +3.16% → adding 50 EMA above 200 +4.54% at a 57.6% win rate. All three sit on the strict list because of that last step.
This is mostly defence
The same list ran −4.03% when the market rose over the next 20 days and +6.91% when it fell. A tight band selects coins that aren't moving, so they lag a rally as reliably as they cushion a drop. Position with defined risk, not a breakout-alpha engine.
Lists rebuild from the daily screener data, same source as the Screener page. Counts shrink as the conditions tighten — an empty list on a quiet day is normal.
